Dr. Ami Mehra was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Columbia College, Columbia University in New York, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Industrial Engineering, and Pre-Medical Studies. She then attended University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Mehra completed her Internal Medicine internship at Boston University Medical Center, and her residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Mehra completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr. Mehra is board certified in Internal Medicine, and in Allergy and Immunology. She participates in education seminars locally and nationally, both as a speaker and as a participant. She is an active research contributor with numerous clinical abstracts, and papers in the field.
Dr. Mehra is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Her clinical interests include Food Allergy, Asthma, Drug hypersensitivity, and Anaphylaxis.
After the completion of her training, Dr. Mehra moved to Massachusetts in 2009 and joined our practice – Allergy and Asthma Specialists P.C. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages – newborns, children, adults, and the elderly. She sees patients at all three office locations.
In her free time, Dr. Mehra enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with her family.
